Lake Country Bike’s Annual Bike Wine Country
Friday, Sept 25, 2015 15 miles with wine and cheese party Saturday, Sept 25, 2015 15, 29, 30, or 50 miles with brunch.
On Wine Country Harvest Festival Weekend, North East celebrates the grape harvest with music, wine, food and regional artisans. Bike Wine Country takes you through the beautiful grape belt region of North East, PA to Penn Shore Winery, Mazza Vineyards, South Shore Wine Company, Arrowhead Winery, Presque Isle Wine Cellars, Courtyard Winery, Burch Farms Country Market, Sparkling Ponds, and Lakeview Wine Cellars where you can sample and buy the areas finest vintages.
Friday, Sept 25th, our 15 mile rides leaves at 4pm from Lake Country Bike with Ruth’s fabulous wine and cheese party after the ride. Registration opens at 3pm. Enjoy shopping at the downtown merchants, the craft fair, main stage music or wine tasting at the Wine Festival. Wineries reserve the right to charge for tasting.
Saturday, Sept 26th, choice of 15 mile, 29 mile, 30 mile, or 50 mile routes leave Gibson Park in downtown North East 9am. Registration opens at 8am. Brunch is provided on the tour route at Lakeside Campground. Cyclists should be in condition to go the distance selected and Sag support is provided. Purchases made on the ride will be transported back to Lake Country Bike for your convenience. As always, great prizes will be awarded by chance to those participating. Wineries reserve the right to charge for tasting.
Cost: $35 for either Friday or Saturday or $ 50 for both days. Registration received before or on Sept 16th, 2014 will receive a long sleeved T-shirt. Day of T-Shirts $15 available after the Saturday ride. First 100 preregistered will received Free Wine Fest tickets.
